Chuck Dodge, Erica A.N. Kramer and Taylor A. Krowitz

FEDERAL AND STATE SERVICEMEMBER LAWS AND DEVELOPMENTS IN AUTO FINANCE Though federal regulators have significantly scaled back enforcement efforts in many areas since the change in the federal administration in January of this year, laws protecting servicemembers have remained in focus. In addition, there is a patchwork of state laws ranging from credit discrimination laws to expanded state analogs of the federal Servicemember Civil Relief Act of which creditors and servicers must also be aware. Join us for this review of recent enforcement actions from the U.S. Department of Justice related to servicemember protections and other hot topics impacting the auto finance industry when it comes to doing business with servicemembers.
